Crysis Freeze in Windows 7

I've just upgraded my computer and am running Windows 7. I'll be playing the game and for no reason that I can find the game freezes? The only way out is to reboot comp. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Can you tell us your Hardware components?
Do you have bluescreens too?
What did you upgrade?

Hey luke

Update graphic driver or reinstall directx or reinstall the game... This and more solutions ive found here...
I think its a problem with graphic driver...
Maybe you try to install an older version. ;)

Hi

I'm running a MSI Z77A=G45 motherboard, Intel 3570K processor, 8gig ram, Asus 6500 series video card (this is the video card that I ran for the last couple of years with XP). Everything installed on solid state drive.

I did the Windows 7 upgrade yesterday to my XP machine, using my 500 gig hard drive and had the same problem? So I got the solid state drive and did a fresh build from the ground up hoping the problem was with the upgrade on top of XP.

It's strange because the game doesn't crash, it just freezes the entire system?

I replaced video card and played for an hour yesterday and no more problem! :D Thanks for the tip Ses.

It's another 6500 series card and I'm currently getting 230 - 240 fps. When I tried my sons video card I was able to get 390 - 400 fps so I think I'll be upgrading once I see it on sale.
